Hi 36°F

Today was a sunny spring-like day with hardly a cloud in the sky.  Folks in the neighborhood were all smiles today, excited by the idea of spring on its way.

All I could think about was wanting the temps to drop to keep my bulbs in the ground.

This past fall I had planted thousands of bulbs; tulips, crocuses, irises, alliums and so on in Brooklyn Planting's gardens... If the warm weather teases them out of the ground too soon, they are at risk of being frozen and killed before they are able to bloom.  This would be terrible!!!

The outlook calls for sleet/rain/snow/freezing... just what I like to hear!

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to get out there and start up season two of Brooklyn Planting, but in due time.  I am making my rounds this week to check on the winter progress, clean things up a bit and perhaps take note of big "To Do's" for this spring.

More to come...
