Groundhogs day, y'all

Happy groundhogs day everyone!!  MAJOR HOLIDAY and a really good movie.

February started off nicely with a sunny morning that bathed my houseplants with the much needed winter sunlight.  It's nice to have a little indoor garden all year round.

...

I have been visiting my favorite secret rooftop garden a lot these days.  It's here in my neighborhood, it boasts a water feature, wicker couches, a hanging porch swing and a gorgeous view of Manhattan.   Once I saw a pontoon plane land in the East River from that rooftop!

On this past visit I picked a few sprigs of sedum to add to my vintage hanging container.  The large succulent in this photo has been living in this glass bowl for the past year, it needed a little something.

It just makes for a well rounded space, even if it's only 4 inches large and your only choosing a shell.  Be thoughtful!
I hope those little guys do well!  I also put a mat of moss around it all... requiring a whole lot of misting... it's great fun.
...

ALSO!!! My good friend and artist, Laura Bellmont, made a statue for my terrarium!  It's Persephone, the Greek goddess of the Underworld!  Ms. Bellmont always impresses me.  I just love the way it looks.

I am having Laura make a bunch of statues for a set of terrariums I will be making this March for a client.  These will be bold color bursts inside bell jars.

Keep up with the blog to see what happens!!
